About Samahuma / Samauma / Kapok

The samauma tree has it's roots in the Amazon. It is considered a sacred tree among the locals. The trees can grow up to 70 meters and are the largest trees on earth! It is known as "the mother of all trees". In the past the brazilian indigenous used the roots of the tree as a way of communication through the forest. It is believed to have medicinal properties and that the tree has magical powers. 

What is Rapé?

Rapé also means "dust of the Ancients". It has been used by several tribes, including the Matses and the Huni Kuin Indians (kaxinawás) for thousands of years.

Rapé (pronounced Ha-Pee) is ideal for ceremonies such as Ayahuasca or other jungle medicine. It can also be used in everyday life, always with the right intention.

Packing material

In our journey to create a product that is as sustainable as possible, we ended up with glass bottles instead of the plastic version. We strive to contribute as little as possible to the production of plastic (waste). We would like to ask everyone to keep the delivered Rapé jars. The jars can be used for other purposes. We are in the process of developing a recycling program for glass bottles. It may happen that you still receive your Rapé in a plastic bottle. We are in the middle of the transition from plastic to glass. These are the last plastic bottles.
